famous for its benmoon world heritage Ranakiwav. The Regional Science Museum,
which is now being set up on 10 acres of land at Chormarpura near Patan, will
also enhance its identity and specialty. The dinosaur gallery to be built in
this museum can also be a new identity of Patan now.
There will be a dinosaur gallery in front of Saraswati Seva Sadan. Attempts to

In front of Saraswati Seva Sadan on Patan Shihori Road in Samalpati Sim, the
state government is constructing a dinosaur gallery larger than the only
Balasinor Dinosaur Park in Gujarat with a Regional Science Museum at an
estimated cost of Rs 100 crore on 10 acres of land. It will be a center of
attraction for people from all over the state including North Gujarat and
travelers coming to Patan.
Storage area for storage of 10 lakh liters of rainwater
Gujarat Council of Science and Technology (GUJCOST), Department of Science and
Technology, Government of Gujarat. Restaurant with rides, home theater,
tea-water-breakfast and dining seating arrangements for tourist refreshments,

The entire work of this science museum being prepared by the government near
Patan is being done by Ahmedabad-based Kanish Construction and its design has
been prepared by Tata Consultancy Engineers. Sumit Shastri and Arun Kumar
handling the site said. Dr. Sumit Shastri while informing about the Regional
Science Museum being prepared by the government for research and dissemination
in the field of science and technology at the cost of crores of rupees, said
that this Science Museum and various galleries including dinosaurs will be the
center of attraction for the people of the state. . The following five
galleries in the museum are designed to suit the specifics of the district.

Dinosaur Gallery
This gallery will take visitors back to antiquity. A closer look at the vivid
living dinosaurs as dinosaurs existed on Earth, as well as interactive
displays, and dinosaurs such as the Metronix will enchant visitors and explain
the reasons for the rise and fall of dinosaurs.
Human Science Gallery
The gallery will include interesting information on aspects related to human
sciences such as genetics along with the functions of various organs as well
as systems with human evolution and the evolution of life on earth.
Hydroponics Gallery
The gallery will showcase the latest farming techniques and the science behind
them. Visitors will be able to see the hydroponic farms operating here, so
that they can get complete information about this technique and learn about it
from the farmers of the state.
Nobel Prize Chemistry Gallery
The gallery will be dedicated to Nobel Prize winners in the field of
chemistry. Information on all Nobel laureates from Marie Curie to Venkatraman
so far will inspire future Nobel laureates.
Optics Gallery
The gallery will showcase the science behind light and its interaction as well
as various light-based instruments. Here students will be able to learn about
the wonderful science of light by doing various activities with their own
hands.

World Environment Day celebrated at the museum
A tree was also planted in the premises of the Regional Science Museum on the
occasion of the recently celebrated World Environment Day. Gujcost Advisor
Narottam Sahu, Chief Scientific Officer Poonam Bhargava, Project Director
Sumit Shastri, Site Manager Arun Kumar, Engineer Jayesh Prajapati and other
dignitaries were present. On this occasion 1025 saplings of 15 species of
trees like Garmalo, Kachnar, Champo, Gulmahendi, Saptaparni, Gulmahor, Pelta
Palm, Kharek, Bamba, Wadelia, Hamelia, Asparagus, Refix palm, Duranta, Rohio
etc. were planted which could be useful in the museum.
A new attraction will be added to the Patan tour
This new attraction will emerge in the district after the new regional museum
is ready after Patan District World Heritage Ranakiwav. Due to which tourism
will also get a boost. In addition, five different galleries have been
constructed in the museum to attract students, farmers, science scholars and
tourists.
