Method 1: Change photo in Aadhaar Card by going to nearest center
- First of all you open the official website of UIDAI.
- Download the Aadhaar Enrollment/Update form in Get Aadhaar.
- Now after filling the form properly go to Aadhaar Enrollment Center and deposit it.
- At the center you will have to re-capture the biometric data.
- This process includes photo, fingerprint, retina scan.
- Doing this will update the Aadhaar details.
- New Aadhaar card with updated picture will be available in about 90 days.
Method 2: Change photo in Aadhaar by POST like this
- Download the 'Aadhaar Card Update Correction' form on the UIDAI portal.
- Fill all the information asked in the form.
- Write a letter to update Aadhaar card in the name of the field office of UIDAI.
- Attach your self-attested photo (with signature) along with the letter.
- Post both the form and the letter to the office address of UIDAI.
- The address of the nearest UIDAI center is available from the online site.
- New Aadhaar card with new photograph will be available within two weeks.
Important things to note while updating photo on Aadhaar Card
You do not need any document to change the photo on your Aadhaar Card.
You do not need to submit a photograph as the executive clicks the picture on the spot using the webcam.
It may take up to 90 days for the details to be updated in Aadhaar.
