Forecast of heavy rain in these three districts of Gujarat, Meteorological department has given alert
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain at scattered places in five districts of Saurashtra. The Meteorological Department has issued yellow alert for rain for Rajkot, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Amreli and Bhavnagar.

Surat, Navsari and Valsad of South Gujarat may experience heavy to very heavy rain today. Yellow alert of heavy rain has also been announced in Bharuch, Narmada, Tapi and Dang. The state has received 54.46 percent of monsoon season rainfall so far. Highest in Kutch 75.67 percent, Saurashtra has received 73.57 percent rain of the season so far. So far, 66.05 percent of the monsoon season has rained in South Gujarat. So in central Gujarat 33.29 percent and the least 29.55 percent of season's rain has fallen in north Gujarat.
74 out of 206 reservoirs in the state are on high alert due to rain. So, 52 dams with more than 90 percent capacity are on high alert while nine dams with 80 to 90 percent capacity are on alert. So 13 dams which are 70 to 80 percent full are on warning.
